I recorded these Sutras while on a month-long retreat in the mountains of Spain, and then edited them (I made many mistakes!) at home in Manchester. I should tell you that, while I managed to pronounce the Sanskrit names of the 39 Buddhas from the Shorter Sukhavativyuhah, many of the 81 Buddhas of the past from the Longer Sutra proved to be beyond my capability, so I used only the English translations. Please note, the third track: ’10. The Guan Jing 15–21′, begins in exactly the same way as the second track: ‘9. The Guan Jing 8–14’, but they are different tracks apart from this initial repetition. I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoyed reading them. It really is a wonderful practice.
