Kulananda

Kulananda was born in South Africa in 1954 and emigrated to Britain in 1972. He joined the Triratna Buddhist Order in 1977 and spent many years assisting in the development of what is now the Triratna Buddhist Community. Amongst other things, he worked at times as Sangharakshita’s secretary; co-founded Windhorse:evolution and the Cambridge Buddhist Centre; has been president of various Triratna centres; and is a member of the Preceptors’ College.

More recently he has worked teaching mindfulness and related approaches in the context of organizational leadership. Amongst his other books are Western Buddhism, Principles of Buddhism, Mindfulness in Eight Weeks, and Mind Time, all published by Harper Thorsons, and The Wheel of Life, published by Windhorse Publications.

Kulananda and his wife Dhirangama live in Cambridge, UK.
